Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how The Round collects, uses, and protects your personal information.


1. What We Collect

We only collect the information needed to personalize your news experience:

- Your name and email address (when you sign up)

- Your saved articles, keyword filters, and preferences

- Your subscription status (via Apple and Google Play)


2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

- Show you relevant news and remember your preferences

- Send email updates if you opt in to receive them

- Process secure payments or tips through Apple and Google Play


3. Payments and Credit Card Info

We do not store your credit card information.

All payments are processed securely via Apple or Google Play, our trusted third-party payment provider.  Both are PCI-compliant and handles all sensitive payment data for us.

3A. Subscriptions (Apple and Google Play)

If you choose to subscribe to The Round Premium, your subscription will be processed securely through the app store on your device—either Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • For Apple iOS users: Your payment will be charged to your Apple ID at the time of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
  • For Android users: Your payment will be charged through your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the billing cycle. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.

We do not have access to your payment credentials on either platform. Your subscription status is used only to unlock premium features within the app.

4. What We Don’t Do

- We do not sell your personal information

- We do not track you across other websites or apps

- We do not use your data for advertising


5. Cookies and Tracking

The Round uses cookies to improve your experience. These may help:

- Keep you logged in

- Remember your saved preferences or filters


We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

You can clear or manage cookies anytime through your browser or device settings. If we introduce additional cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent before using them.


6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party tools:

- Apple for in-app subscription 

- Google Play for in-app subscription

- MailerLite (for email communication, if you opt in)


These services only receive the data needed to support core app features.


7. Your Rights

You can:

- Delete your account at any time by going to Settings > Delete My Account

- Request to view or remove your personal data by contacting us
